It is a disease characterized by uncontrolled cell division and the appearance of a mass of non-specialized tissue (a tumor) invading normal tissue and organs in case of solid tumor. As a cancer grows, some cancerous cells can become dislodged and spread to different sites in the body where they multiply and develop into another cancer, known as a secondary cancer or metastasis.
